How to make it

  • Add sugar and melted butter to beaten eggs.
  • Sift together flour, soda and salt.
  • Add alternately with the buttermilk to the egg mixture.
  • Mix in raisins and Raisin Bran.
  • Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
  • Refrigerate covered, use as needed. (keeps just 3 weeks)

    Outstanding muffin recipe and very easy to make. I always reduce the sugar in recipes and did on this one too. Used only 1 1/4 cup of sugar, but I did double the recipe, and the muffins still tasted great. Not sweet and sugary ... just a good ole Raisin Bran muffin!

    I made these lastnight>>>YAHOOO ...where awesome added my own twist too it... replaced the 1 1/2 cup of sugar too 1/2 cup of Molassas and 1/2 cup sugar...these turned out great and darker in appearance and very tastey and too boot eye balled more rasins to the mixture... Again thanks "NotYourMamma" for putting up a great recipe!

    Big thumbs up from the "new boyfriend" in our daughter's life. Crispy top and tender underneath and to quote him: "I hate Raisin bran, I won't like these." I told him eat it anyway. Ugh, teenagers! He tried it, he liked it.

    We are a muffin loving family and I love something that can keep. Funny I don't like eating cereal, but I sure like it in a muffin!
