How to make it

  • Mix together all the ingredients.
  • Roll into SMALL balls (they are very rich) and then roll the balls in the extra wheat germ. For sweeter, roll in powdered sugar.

    I made these with soaked, pureed dates and a little water in place of the syrup, a little less PB and sorghum flour for the AP and the wheat germ - yum, and lower sugar!!
    Pumpkin seeds were good instead of the sunflower ones too - maybe I'll add fresh ginger next time!

    I agree with subbing nuts for the sunflower seeds, but rum?? With chocolate and peanutbutter?...hmmmmm!

    I saw these a while back (either on here or possibly on another site); a really tasty snack. First time I made them I couldn't get wheat germ, but wheat bran did as a substitute. Also I've made these with chopped nuts instead of sunflower seeds, which made them even tastier!

    These snack balls are a definite winner.

    I gotta try adding some rum next time, that could be good.
