    Hi Marie,
Battleships? Haha ... I'm not sure about that. What I know is that their Japanese name is call Ikura and you use/eat them fresh as it is.

    Hi
I am just learning how to make Sushi with the Salmon Roe my husband brings home. I have found out they are called Battleships? is that correct. Also I'm wondering if I have to turn the Roe into caviar before I use it, or can I just wash it with Sake?

Great pictures! I will share a picture of the Salmon roe if you like- It will be under my avatar. I just think it is so beautiful, like little pearls.
