Creamed tomatoes

- 6 firm tomatoes shopping list
- 4 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 4 tablespoons flour shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- 4 tablespoons brown sugar shopping list
- 1 cup heavy cream shopping list
How to make it
- Cut the tomatoes into thick slices.
- In a shallow pan, combine flour with salt and pepper.
- Dip the tomato slices in the flour mixture.
- Heat the butter in a large skillet.
- Sprinkle half the brown sugar on the tomatoes.
- Put tomatoes in skillet with butter and cook slowly.
- Flip and sprinkle with remaining sugar.
- When tomatoes are tender, pour the cream over the tomatoes and cook until it bubbles.
- Really good served over rice!
