How to make it

  • Snap off any tough outer leaves from the cabbage and slice off the stem. Cut the cabbage in half through the core, then slice each half into quarters, making 8 wedges.
  • Arrange the wedges into 2 concentric circles in a 9" glass pie plate. (The dish will be pretty full). Sprinkle with the onions, carrots and dill. Pour on the stock.
  • Steam the cabbage and other vegetables until tender, about 20 minutes. Drain. Sprinkle with the dill.
  • Per serving: 46 calories, 0.4 g fat (2% of calories), 3.4 g. dietary fiber, no cholesterol, 31 mg sodium

    Cabbage is a staple all year in this house.This sound delish.My question to you is how do you steam?in the oven with alum wrap or in a steam bath?hope to make this soon.Thanks
