How to make it

  • Wash and peel tamarinds.
  • Add them to 4 quarts of water and the rest of ingredients.
  • Place all in a large earthenware jug; cover and let stand 72 hours in refrigerator.
  • Strain and add more sugar if necessary.
  • Serve very cold .

    My son-in-love loves dried tamarinds.. I've never seen them any other way and have never seen them in stores.. sounds refreshing.
