How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 400
  • Combine dry ingredients in a bowl (oatmeal through cinnamon)
  • Combine wet ingredients (milk through butter)
  • Barely mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients
  • Place mix into a casserole dish and place in over for 20 minutes
  • After 20 minutes, remove dish from oven and mix in dried fruit (and nuts and/or coconut if using)
  • Bake for another 20 minutes
  • This tastes the best when served with milk!
  • Variations: replace milk with unsweetened soy milk and butter with oil for a vegan version. Add a 1/2 tsp of vanilla with the wet ingredients. Try cardamon or nutmeg with the cinnamon.
