Fresh Broccoli Salad Recipe
This recipe came from my sister, it's amazingly good. I'd rather have it then dessert. That says alot!

Ingredients
  • 1 head fresh broccoli - about 4 cups
  • 1/2 cup salted sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 small purple onion, chopped
  • 1 (12-ounce) package bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • Dressing:
  • 1 cup Miracle Whip
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons vinegar
  • Blend together all ingredients; pour over salad

Directions
  1. Cut broccoli and some stems into bite-size pieces. Toss together broccoli, sunflower seeds, raisins, onion and bacon. Prepare dressing; pour over salad; toss. Serve the same day or make a day ahead of time.

I have a very similar one to this but minus the sunflower seeds. Will add those the next time i make it! I love it too. I now use Turkey bacon all the time and it is just as good!!!


Thanks for the comment on my Broccoli Salad! Our recipes are very similar yet just a little different. I'm sure that your's is just as yummy! I'm now thinking of trying barbiedoll's suggestion for Turkey bacon.

Sounds yummmy!!!I would have to substitute the sugar, or take it out completely, but it sounds good!! neer thought of adding bacon! =-0)
