Spiced Peaches

- 2 - 29oz cans peach Halves in heavy syrup shopping list
- 2 teaspoons whole cloves shopping list
- 4 - 3in. cinnamon sticks shopping list
- 1 1/3 cups sugar shopping list
- 1 cup white vinegar shopping list
How to make it
- Drain peach halves, reserving syrup.
- Combine syrup, cloves, cinnamon sticks, sugar and vinegar in a medium saucepan.
- Bring to a boil, cover and simmer 5 minutes.
- Removed from heat, add peach halves and cool completely.
- Refrigerate in an air tight container overnight.
- Note: Flavor of peaches becomes stronger when stored several days.

I have been making this recipe for about 10 years. It is absolutely wonderful and the peaches do get "stronger" as they sit in the fridge.
