This is an elegant recipe that is great to serve during the holidays or dinner parties. It's simple and delicious!

Ingredients
  • 2 - 29oz cans Peach Halves in heavy syrup
  • 2 teaspoons Whole Cloves
  • 4 - 3in. Cinnamon Sticks
  • 1 1/3 cups Sugar
  • 1 cup White Vinegar

Directions
  1. Drain peach halves, reserving syrup.
  2. Combine syrup, cloves, cinnamon sticks, sugar and vinegar in a medium saucepan.
  3. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer 5 minutes.
  4. Removed from heat, add peach halves and cool completely.
  5. Refrigerate in an air tight container overnight.
  6. Note: Flavor of peaches becomes stronger when stored several days.

I have been making this recipe for about 10 years. It is absolutely wonderful and the peaches do get "stronger" as they sit in the fridge.
