How to make it

  • Finely slice the shallots and the garlic.
  • Cut the meat and potato into cubes.
  • Cut the tomato into slices.
  • Heat oil in Dutch Oven, or a wok, and fry the shallots, garlic, pepper, salt, cloves and nutmeg for 2 minutes.
  • Add the meat and fry until brown.
  • Add the potato, tomato, vinegar, sweet soy sauce and water. Simmer slowly for 3 hours.
  • Serve with cooked white rice or fried rice.
