How to make it

  • About 6 hours before serving or day ahead :
  • Mix flour, butter, 2/3 c chopped almonds, and 1/4 c icing sugar until crumbly.
  • Pat into ungreased 9x13 baking pan.
  • Bake 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Cool in pan on rack.
  • Beat cream cheese and 1/2 c icing sugar until fluffy.
  • In another bowl beat whipping cream and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  • Fold 1 cup whipped cream into cream cheese mixture.
  • Spread over cooled crust.
  • Reserve remaining whipped cream.
  • In another large bowl, prepare pudding mixes as directed but use 3 c milk total.
  • Spread over cream cheese layer.
  • Fold 2 tbsp icing sugar into remaining whipped cream then spread over pudding.
  • Chill at least 4 hours.
  • While dessert is chilling toast remaining almonds then let cool.
  • Sprinkle over chilled dessert and cut into squares.

    Oh yumm! We call this Sex in a Pan. I've also done it where I've used all chocolate pudding or a layer of chocolate and a layer of butterscotch. So, so good!!!
