Sweet And Hot Spaghetti Recipe
A twist on a spaghetti pie, this is nice and cheesey with great flavor.

Ingredients
  • 1 pound #8 spaghetti, cooked al denté
  • 3/4 pound bacon, cooked crispy, drained and crumbled
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1-28 ounce can + 1 14.5 ounce can whole tomatoes
  • 1 block Cracker Barrel Extra Sharp white cheese, grated
  • Red pepper to taste
  • Hot sauce to taste

Directions
  1. Cook spaghetti to al denté drain, add some butter, cover and set aside.
  2. Preheat oven to 425°.
  3. Spray a casserole dish with non-stick spray and set aside.
  4. In a skillet, cook bacon, drain on paper towels and crumble. Save some bacon fat in the skillet.
  5. Put the tomatoes in a blender and blend.
  6. In the skillet with the bacon fat, and the tomatoes.
  7. Add the sugar, red pepper, and a dash or 2 of hot sauce.
  8. Cook over medium heat for about 3-5 minutes stirring often.
  9. In the casserole dish, layer half the spaghetti, 1/2 the grated cheese, and half the tomato mixture.
  10. Repeat.
  11. Bake for 45 minutes until hot and bubbly.
  12. Serve with crusty warm, buttered bread.
