Ingredients

How to make it

  • Combine the almonds, walnuts or hazelnuts, and dates and mix them together as best you can (the dates get very sticky).
  • Dust a work surface and rolling pin with confectioners' sugar and roll out the mixture into an approximate square 1/2 inch thick.
  • Cut this into 1-inch squares and roll the squares in sugar. Arrange the sweets on a plate and serve.

I buy jumbo medjool dates from a grower in Arizona. They are incredible--sweet, creamy, and huge. I can only get them when they are harvested in October, so I am looking for recipes for them. This recipe looks wonderful.
