Spicy Parmesan Shortbread

- 1 1/2 c flour shopping list
- 1/4 c corn starch shopping list
- 1/2 c cold butter, cubed shopping list
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme finely chopped shopping list
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper shopping list
- 1 c grated parmesan cheese shopping list
- 1/2 c sour cream (do not use light or fat-free) shopping list
- 1 tbsp milk shopping list
- 1 - 2 tsp coarse black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Combine flour, butter, cheese, cornstarch, cayenne, and thyme in a bowl with a pastry knife until it resembles small crumbs.
- Add sour cream and combine.
- Divide the dough in half.
- Form each into a 2 inch wide log and flatten to about 1/2 inch thick.
- Refrigerate overnight.
- Slice the logs into 1/2 inch pieces and arrange on baking sheets that are covered with parchment paper.
- Brush the top of each with milk and sprinkle with pepper.
- Bake at 325 degrees for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.
