How to make it

  • To prepare marinade, in a shallow glass dish, combine lime juice, onion, cilantro, salt, and red pepper flakes. Mix well.
  • Rub garlic over both sides of steak. Place steak in marinade; turn to coat. Cover dish with plastic wrap; refrigerate for 2 hours.
  • Preheat broiler. Line broiler pan with foil.
  • Remove steak from marinade. Discard marinade in dish. Place steak on prepared pan.
  • Broilsteak 4 to 5 minutes per side for medium, 6 to 7 minutes per side for well done.
  • Place steak on carving board or platter. Let stand for 10 minutes before cutting across the grain into thin slices.
