How to make it
- Mix water, shortening, salt and baking powder add enough flour to make a stiff dough that is easy to handle.
- Roll out dough and cut into thin pieces.
- Bring juice and sugar to a rolling boil.
- Drop each piece in juice one at a time, cook on high for about 5 minutes.
- Then cover and simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Maybe served plain or with cream.
