The only thing better than a Hershey's chocolate bar is... a melted Hershey's chocolate bar on top of a delicious bar cookie!

Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter (2 sticks)
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 giant milk chocolate Hershey bar
  • cookie sheet *with sides*

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease cookie sheet.
  3. Cream the butter and brown sugar with mixer.
  4. Add beaten egg and mix well.
  5. Add vanilla and mix well.
  6. Add flour and mix until thoroughly combined.
  7. Spread out cookie dough thinly onto greased cookie sheet.
  8. Bake 15-20 minutes (should be set, but not hard or browned).
  9. While bar cookie is baking, melt chocolate bar in "double boiler" on stove (bar in one pot, set on top of bottom pot of boiling water).
  10. When bar cookie is done baking, spread melted chocolate on top and let cool.
  11. Cut into small bars and ENJOY! :)

Thanks for the post, this sounds wonderful.


I fixed these for our Christmas dinner. Before anyone arrived I snapped a picture for here ;) They were a BIG hit with the adults and kids! They're a blend of cookie dough flavor covered in chocolate and oh so delicious....
