Moms Nibble Food Recipe
When I was growing up my mom made this during the holidays since, way back then, the ingredients were expensive.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 3 tps. Worchestershire sauce
  • Garlic powder to taste (I use lots)
  • 1/2 box corn chex
  • 1 box each of wheat and rice chex
  • 1/2 box cheerios
  • 1/2 bag of this pretzels
  • 1 can unsalted cashews
  • 1 can spanish peanuts
  • 1 bag pepitos (if you can find)
  • 1 med. bag of pecan halves

Directions
  1. I use everything unsalted, except for the spanish peanuts, as we aren't fond of salt.
  2. I also use store brand cereals and nuts if available.
  3. Mix all dry ingredients together in a very large bowl or plastic container.
  4. Incorporate melted butter mix (butter, worchestershire and garlic powder) over dry ingredients and mix well.
  5. Put into 2 large metal baking pans.
  6. Bake in oven at 250 degrees for 2 hours (or until crunchy) stirring every 15 minutes. Every 30 minutes I switch pans from one shelf to the other.
  7. Let cool and store in plastic container.
