Another from my mother's church cookbook...My daughter baked a cake mix. We didn't have any frosting and we were all out of butter. This was the first time I tried this. Turned out pretty good.

Ingredients
- 1/2 c milk
- 2 Tbls flour
- 1/2 c Crisco shortening
- 1/2 c white sugar
- dash of salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- *optional-we added a couple tbls of cocoa for some chocolate flavor
Directions
- Cook milk and flour til thick, then cool.
- Beat remaining ingredients with mixer for 15 minutes
- Then add 1 teaspoon at a time of milk and flour mixture while continuing to beat.

I have never seen a recipe like this. Thanks! I would use non hydrogenated shortening instead of Crisco. Can't wait to try this!!!!!!!!! Looks really good.
