This is my favorite pound cake. It is great with strawberries or any other fruit or just by itself.

Ingredients
  • 3 Cups Sugar
  • 3 Cups Plain Flour ( must be plain flour self-rising does not work.)
  • 2 Sticks Oleo
  • 1/2 Cup Shortening
  • 5 Eggs
  • 1 7oz. 7 Up
  • 1 Teaspoon Lemon Flavoring
  • 1 Teaspoon Coconut Flavoring

Directions
  1. Cream butter, shortening, and sugar.
  2. Add 1 egg at a time.
  3. Add Flour and 7 Up alternately one at a time.
  4. Then add flovoring.
  5. Grease bottom and not sides of tube pan.
  6. Bake 325 for 1 1/2 hours.
