How to make it

  • Dip Birds in Olive Oil or Veg. Oil.
  • Place Breast side up in Dutch oven.
  • Sprinkle Celery Salt, Curry Powder and Garlic Salt (about 1 T.for every 3 birds)
  • Sprinkle not so generously with dry Mustard. (1/2 t. is enough)
  • Black Pepper.
  • Add 1 8 oz can sliced Muchrooms with juice.
  • Add enough water so there is about 1/2 inch of liquid on the bottom of pan.
  • Cover and cook in a 250 oven for 2 1/2 hrs.
  • Then add juice of one lemon, 3 t. Worcestershire Sauce.
  • Continue cooking for 15 mins. The Drippings in pan make the gravy.
  • Serve over rice if desired..Great with homemade biscuits.
