How to make it

  • Step # 1
  • Put undrained cherries and sugar in a large, deep skillet, bring to a boil
  • Drop dumpling batter by tablespoon into boiling fruit to make 4-6 dumplings.
  • Cover and cook for 20 minutes.
  • Serve immediately
  • Step # 2
  • Dumpling Batter:
  • Sift dry ingredients into a bowl
  • Add remaining ingredients
  • Mix lightly and quickly until blended
  • DO NOT mix smooth.
