- 12 small to medium sized jalapeño peppers shopping list
- 8-12 ounces chili cheese (I found this in the specialty cheese section of Wegman's® supermarket. Make your own chili cheese if you can't find this by adding your desired amount of hot sauce to cream cheese!) shopping list
- 2 cups bread crumbs shopping list
- 1 cup all-purpose flour shopping list
- 2 eggs, beaten shopping list
- 24 ounces of canola oil shopping list
- Very cold ranch dressing for dipping shopping list
How to make it
- Prepare peppers:
- I highly recommend wearing gloves to handle hot peppers. It is the only way to make sure you don't get the oil into your skin, and God forbid on any other body part.
- Carefully cut off the stems of each pepper and clean out the seeds. Use a butterknife to be sure you don't crack the peppers.
- Push the chili cheese into the cavity of each pepper.
- Roll each pepper in flour, dip into egg, and roll into breadcrumbs.
- Heat the oil in a heavy bottom pot or deep fryer. I used the whole bottle of oil for best results.
- When oil is HOT, use tongs to fry the peppers, drop in only 3 at a time.
- The poppers are ready when they float to the top and are golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels and serve with cold ranch dressing for dipping.
- ***NOTE: If you don't wear gloves to prepare peppers, milk will work best to remove the oil. Don't touch your face or go any where near the nether regions without MAKING SURE you have cleaned your hands of the pepper oil!!!***

I simply poppers with cream cheese these are my downfall lol I will definitly make these tonight. I am so glad I found out how to make these myself. thank you so much. mmmmmmmmmm
