Orecchiette Pasta with Peas Bacon and Cream

- 1 pound orecchiette pasta shopping list
- 6 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1 c diced onion shopping list
- 1 c frozen or shelled fresh peas shopping list
- 4 tablespoon water shopping list
- 12 slices of bacon shopping list
- 1 1/2 c heavy cream shopping list
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Boil water
- Cook bacon well and chop into small pieces.
- Add 3 tablespoon of the butter in a medium saucepan over medium-low heat. When the butter starts to bubble, add onion and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, until translucent, stirring often.
- Add the peas and water to the pan and cook 3 minutes, stirring.
- Cook pasta according to package directions.
- In the pan with the peas, stir in the bacon and cook 2 minutes. Add the cream; bring to a low simmer and cook about 8 minutes.
- Drain pasta; place in large serving bowl. Stir remaining 3 tablespoons butter into the cream mixture over low heat until melted. Stir in the cheese. Pour sauce over pasta and toss to coat. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

This recipe was quite good but I have a few suggestions.
1. Move the "cook pasta" part to like 3rd in the recipe. I cooked the pasta first and it was done well before I needed the water from it...much less being ready to serve. I was fo...moreglynnjamin in Phoenix loved it
