Yummy pasta dish

Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless chicken breast
- 2 T butter
- 1 medium-size diced onion
- 6 oz crumbled feta
- 1 c chopped sundried tomatoes
- 1/2 asparagus bunch (cut into inch pieces)
- cream (approx 1/2 - 1 cup)
Directions
- boil water, add pasta
- Heat butter in large saucepan
- add onions and cook about 3 minutes
- add chicken, sundried tomatoes, asparagus and cream
- cover and simmer approx 6 minutes
- mix in feta (simmer about 2 more minutes while stirring)
- mix with pasta and serve

Recipe looks appealing but I'm not a fan of feta cheese. Have any suggestions for a substitution. Happen to have a jar of sundried tomatoes on hand so I would love to try the recipe.

I made this and it was devine. I substituted the feta for havarti since I didn't have feta on hand. I'm betting both versions are out of this world. Yummers.

I'm going to try this, it sounds delicious. For debra47, may I suggest goat cheese or boursin. I have a recipe for shrimp and boursin and it's wonderful together so I would think it would work in this one. I'm going to stick with the feta myself, I love feta. Thanks.

This was delicious! Absolutely wonderful! I used green onions instead (as that's all I had on hand). They gave a nice flavor too! Even my boyfriend who is not a feta cheese fan, loved it! Thanks for the post!
