Traditional Pa. Dutch recipe.From PA Dutch Cookbook handed down by the early settlers in PA of which my husband is of descent.

Ingredients
  • 4 slices bacon, diced
  • 1 1/2 lbs veal round steak ( cutlet ), cut about1/2 in. thick
  • 2 Tbsp chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup tomatoe sauce

Directions
  1. Cook bacon until crisp in a large heavy skillet
  2. With slotted spoon, remove bacon to a small dish
  3. Leave bacon fat in skillet
  4. Add meat, cut into serving-size pieces, and onion to skillet
  5. Brown meat on both sides and cook onion until soft
  6. Sprinkle with a mixture of the salt and paprika
  7. Remove from heat
  8. Pour over meat a mixtureof the sour cream and tomatoe sauce
  9. Cover skillet
  10. Cook overlow heat about 20 min; Do not boil !!
  11. Garnish with remaining bacon pieces
  12. Serves 4 to 6
