How to make it

  • Put the abalone into a small saucepan and add water.
  • Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.
  • Add Sake and sugar and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Stir in soy sauce and continue to cook for 2 to 3 more minutes.
  • Cool to room temperature.
  • Cut the abalone into 1/2 inch thick slices and serve.
