This makes a great topper for rice, tastes great, and fills you up! I've been eating this since I was young and my mother taught me the recipe.

Ingredients
  • 1 Beef Chuck roast (raw about 1.5 lbs)
  • 2 Bunches of brocolli
  • 5 large carrots
  • 1/2 yellow onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1/2 cup Soy Sauce
  • 4 TBSP Oyster Sauce
  • 1 TBSP Sesame Oil
  • Salt TT
  • Pepper TT
  • Garlic Powder TT

Directions
  1. Prepare marinade by mixing soy sauce, Oyster Sauce, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a large bowl. Set aside
  2. Cut Meat into thin slices and place the strips of meat into the marinade while cutting the rest of the meat. When finished set aside.
  3. Cut up Brocolli however desired and also cut up carrots asian style (cut the carrot in half then cut the halves in a diagonal fashion into thin chips). Set aside
  4. Cut up Onion into thin strips and also mince the garlic. Set aside
  5. Heat up a large wok or frying pan on medium high heat. Add sesame Oil. Saute the onions and garlic until garlic and onion is sort of a golden brown.Add the meat along with the marinade. Let it sit for a couple minutes then stir. Keep cooking until all meat is no longer pink. If there is very little marinade, add 1/2 cup of water.
  6. After meat is cooked,, remove only the meat and set aside. You will then add the carrots and brocolli to the mixture left in the wok/frying pan and let it cook for about 30 minutes or until the vegetables are to your liking (soft or crunchy, whichever you prefer).
  7. When vegetables are done, add meat back to the mixture and let sit for 5 more minutes... Remove from heat and you're done! Tastes great with Rice or you can eat it by itself! Enjoy!

Going to try this tonight, thanks! And welcome! Can't wait for more recipes.

Made this tonight. Incredible!

I love this recipe. I am a Canadian living in Belgium and I sometimes find it hard to find "canadian ingredients". This was easy and tasted delicious. It was a little salty, so next time I will buy low sodium soya sauce (I always buy natural soya which tastes much better).
