How to make it

  • SEPARATE EGG YOLKS FROM EGG WHITES. BEAT EGG WHITES WITH LARD AND SUGAR. STIR IN YOLKS AND MIX. SIFT DRY INGREDIENTS TOGETHER AND MIX WITH THE LARD/EGG/SUGAR MIXTURE. ADD ORANGE JUICE.
  • FORM INTO THREE BALLS OF DOUGH. ROLL EACH INTO 1/4" SHEETS ON A FLOURED SURFACE. CUT INTO SHAPES. BAKE AT 350 DEG. FOR 8 TO 10 MINS. ROLL THE WARM COOKIES IN A SUGAR AND CINNAMON MIXTURE.

    instead of oj, i use either peach or blackberry flavored brandy.
