How to make it

  • Use lower ends and trimmings of 1 lb of fresh asparagus. Roughly chop them into 1" pieces.
  • Combine the rest of the broth ingredients in a pot, bring to a boil, simmer 20-25 minutes, and then strain.
  • Refrigerate until needed.
