Asparagus Broth

- 6 cups stock, chicken shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups asparagus; trimmed shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 bay leaf shopping list
- 4 parsley branches shopping list
- 1 cup leek greens; chopped shopping list
- 1 carrot; peeled, chopped shopping list
- 1 celery stalk; chopped shopping list
How to make it
- Use lower ends and trimmings of 1 lb of fresh asparagus. Roughly chop them into 1" pieces.
- Combine the rest of the broth ingredients in a pot, bring to a boil, simmer 20-25 minutes, and then strain.
- Refrigerate until needed.
