How to make it

  • Drain all fruit very well, manually squeezing the pineapple to get as much juice out as possible. Put all fruit in a very large bowl. Mix in coconut to taste. Add marshmallows to taste.
  • Stir in one of the containers of whipped topping and refrigerate overnight.
  • Check the composition of the mixture before serving. If it is too runny, add more whipped topping before serving.
  • Serves: a lot (at least 12)
  • Mel's notes: I always add extra topping before serving. I also like to add a jar of drained maraschino cherries.
  • I have also added a touch of rum on occasion. But it does tend to make the salad too "wet" in my opinion.
  • The "360" minutes "cooktime" refers to chilling overnight.
