Baked Ice Planet for River Recipe

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Divide the ice cream into 8 portions and make 8 vanilla ice cream balls. Place on a wax paper lined cookie sheet and freeze for about an hour.
  • Combine the remaining ingredients to make the coating and spread on a cookie sheet. Bake 350* until crisp and golden. (Your cooking time may vary according to preference and oven temperature.) Let cool.
  • Roll the frozen ice cream balls in the cooled coating mixture, then replace in freezer for 2 hours more.
  • Place each Ice Planet in a sherbet dish, top with fruit topping and whipped cream, and drizzle with honey (optional).
  • Enjoy!
  • Note: you can vary your Ice Planets by adding things such as toffee bits, mini chocolate chips, Oreo bits, vanilla bean innards, etc.
  • Makes 8 Ice Planets.
