LEBANESE SAVORY DOUGH

- 2 cups warm water shopping list
- 2 tbsp. sugar shopping list
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast shopping list
- ¼ cup vegetable oil shopping list
- 2 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 5 cups flour shopping list
How to make it
- Place water and sugar in a mixing bowl with a dough hook. Add yeast and allow to rest for 5 minutes. Add oil, salt and egg. Mix gently with the mixer.
- Add approximately 3-½ cup of the flour and mix. Gradually add more flour and mix until the flour leaves the edges of the bowl and the dough is smooth. Dough should be a little sticky.
- Butter a bowl for the dough, cover with plastic and a tea towel.
- Let rise for 30-40 minutes or until double. Punch dough down, use for Lebanese Meat pies.
