Oil And Vinegar Salad Dressing Recipe
The Most Basic Simple Salad Dressing available. Great trees from small acorns grow!

  • 2 teaspoons vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Directions
  1. Pour the oil* over the salad greens and toss to coat them. Sprinkle on the vinegar*; add any salad additives or vegetables and serve. Season as you like.
  2. * Note: Use any flavorful oil or vinegar you like.
  3. Note: This is the first of what became thousands of Salad Dressings and when shaken together became one of the basic sauces of French Cuisine, an emulsion sauce.

Vinegar & oil has ALWAYS been my favorite dressing. Sometimes I add salt, pepper, and oregano. You're right....Great trees from small acorns grow! :)
