Mustard Cream Sauce Recipe
This is a wonderful sauce for a whole lot of things. It's from a 1940's cookbook and it was originally used on veal. I used it for a roast and vegetables and it was fabulous.

Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup dry sherry
  • 1/4 cup minced shallots or scallions
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup whipping cream

Directions
  1. In a sauce pan, add sherry and heat over high heat.
  2. Add shallots or scallions and cook until soft.
  3. Stir in Dijon mustard and whipping cream.
  4. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, and cook until sauce thickens and shiny bubbles form, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. Serve over protein of choice.
