Country Corn Pone

- 2 cup white corn meal shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups cold water shopping list
- 4 tablespoons vegetable oil shopping list
How to make it
- Mix corn meal, salt and water.
- Preheat oven to 475 and heat oil in a round iron skillet in the hot oven.
- Carefully spread mixture evenly in skillet.
- Spoon some of the fat that comes to the edges up on top of the batter.
- Bake for 12 minutes then broil for 3 minutes to get crispy around the edges.
- Cut into pie shape slices and serve.
