Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2-1/2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup shortening
  • 2-1/2 cups blueberries
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions
  1. Sift together 1/2 cup sugar, 2 cups flour, baking powder and salt.
  2. Make hollow and add egg, milk and melted shortening.
  3. Stir gently to mix flour. Pour into 13 x 9 inch baking pan.
  4. Cover with blueberries. Make crumb mixture with 1/2 cup sugar, 1/3 cup flour, butter and cinnamon.
  5. Cover berries. Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes.
  6. Makes 12 squares.
