Fettuccine Alfredo Recipe
This is a favorite in my house, definitely not low-cal so it's an occasional treat.

Ingredients
  • 8 oz fettuccine
  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
  • 1 clove chopped garlic
  • 1-1/4 cups light cream or half &half, divided
  • 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • Dash salt

Directions
  1. Cook fettuccine according to package directions.
  2. Drain; cover and set aside.
  3. In large skillet melt butter over medium heat; add garlic, saute for 1 minute.
  4. Stir in 3/4 cup cream or half & half.
  5. Stirring constantly, cook over medium heat 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add fettuccine to skillet.
  7. Stir in remaining 1/2 cup cream or half and half, cheese, pepper and salt; cook, stirring, 1 minute.
  8. If desired, serve with additional cheese and pepper.
