Fettuccine Alfredo

This is a favorite in my house, definitely not low-cal so it's an occasional treat.
Ingredients
- 8 oz fettuccine shopping list
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter shopping list
- 1 clove chopped garlic shopping list
- 1-1/4 cups light cream or half &half, divided shopping list
- 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese shopping list
- 1/4 tsp pepper shopping list
- Dash salt shopping list
How to make it
- Cook fettuccine according to package directions.
- Drain; cover and set aside.
- In large skillet melt butter over medium heat; add garlic, saute for 1 minute.
- Stir in 3/4 cup cream or half & half.
- Stirring constantly, cook over medium heat 2-3 minutes.
- Add fettuccine to skillet.
- Stir in remaining 1/2 cup cream or half and half, cheese, pepper and salt; cook, stirring, 1 minute.
- If desired, serve with additional cheese and pepper.
