Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups flour mixed with 1 tsp. baking soda and 1/4 tsp salt

Directions
  1. Layer ingredients in order in a 1 quart "wide mouth" canning jar.
  2. Press each layer in place before adding next ingredient.
  3. For the tag that you will tie on to the jar : (This is for the person receiving this gift) PRINT the following....
  4. Empty jar of cookie mix into large bowl
  5. Mix well
  6. Add 1 1/2 sticks butter or margarine, softened
  7. 1 egg, slightly beaten
  8. 1 tsp vanilla
  9. Mix until completely blended.
  10. Shape into balls and place on cookie sheet
  11. Bake at 350* for 13- 15 minutes.
  12. Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
