Ingredients

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup chopped pecans

1 cup chocolate chips

1 cup firmly packed brown sugar

2 1/2 cups flour mixed with 1 tsp. baking soda and 1/4 tsp salt

Directions

Layer ingredients in order in a 1 quart "wide mouth" canning jar.

Press each layer in place before adding next ingredient.

For the tag that you will tie on to the jar : (This is for the person receiving this gift) PRINT the following....

Empty jar of cookie mix into large bowl

Mix well

Add 1 1/2 sticks butter or margarine, softened

1 egg, slightly beaten

1 tsp vanilla

Mix until completely blended.

Shape into balls and place on cookie sheet

Bake at 350* for 13- 15 minutes.

Makes 2 1/2 dozen.
