Ingredients

5 Fresh Chile Peppers (Jalapenos, Serranos, or Habaneros work well), diced

1/4 cup fresh cilantro, roughly chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 medium sized onion, chopped

2 medium sized tomatoes, chopped

2 limes, halved

1 tbsp vinegar (optional)

salt to taste

Directions

In a metal mixing bowl combine the vinegar, peppers, garlic and cilantro

Add the juice of one lime, and stir with a fork

Add the onion and the tomato

Add 1/2 of the remaining lime, stir

If needed, add remaining lime

Add salt to taste

Stir, cover and put in the refrigerator for 1 hour to allow the flavors to blend.

Serve with chips, or as a garnish for any food that could use some spice

We live on this stuff... although you use WAY more hot peppers than I do... I eat it on everthing.. I think I have one posted not sure.

My husband LOVES this salsa-and its hard to impress him when it comes to cooking...thanks-now its my "little secret" ha ha! It also tastes awesome with yellow and orange tomatoes
