Show off making this .. it's really quite easy.. one of the only ways I like bananas!

Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar packed firmly
  • 4 ripe bananas, peeled and split lengthwise
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup white rum...
  • 1/4 cup banana liqueur (creme de bananas)
  • 1 pint vanilla ice cream, OR 1 cup sweetened whipped cream... I like the whipped cream

Directions
  1. Melt butter and brown sugar in a flat chafing dish or attractive skillet.
  2. Add bananas in a single layer and saute' turning once until tender .. about 5 minutes
  3. aprinkly with cinnamon
  4. Pour in rum and banana lequeur.
  5. Ignite with a match... while standing back... remove from heat and baste bananas until flam burns out.
  6. Serve at once with vanilla ice cream or sweetened whipped cream.
  7. This one never goes out of style...
