Ingredients

9" pie shell or 1 refrigerated pie crust, or frozen shell

1 cup ready made hash brown, either frozen or hash brown from dairy case as in simply potatoes. If frozen thaw.

1 cup 1/2 inch pieces of fresh asparagus, or grilled or frozen(thaw), not sure how can would do.

1 cup diced canadian bacon

1 1/2 cups shredded Havarti Cheese (6 ounces)

4 eggs

1 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram leaves

1/4 teaspoon salt

Prebake shell 8 minutes

layer potatoes

asparagus

bacon

cheese

Beat eggs, milk, marjoram and salt until well blended.

Pour over mixture in shell.

Bake 45-50 minutes or until knife inserted comes out clean

Let stand 5 minutes or more before cutting as you should do with all quiches.

Oh, I love Canadian bacon! I think I'd like to take the circular bacon slices and quarter them, though, so their shape would be similar to the... oh wait a sec, it uses hash browns. I was thinking sliced potatoes. Hmmm. Could be interesting with cooked sliced potatoes, too. A variation? :) Anyhow, I love quiche, and am going to give this one a try!
