Ingredients

How to make it

  • Bake cake as directed on package, in a 13 x 9 inch pan.
  • When cake is completely cooled, poke about 20 small holes in the cake (I use the handle of a wooden spoon).
  • Pour the entire jar of caramel over the cake. Place in refrigerator overnight so the caramel soaks into the cake
  • Just before serving, spread Cool Whip over the cake, and sprinkle with mashed Butterfinger pieces..

This sounds awesome. My daughter just told me today that the only thing her step mother in law makes for Christmas dinner that she likes is a butterfinger cake so I told her I would look one up. Yours was the first one so I called her and told her the ingredients and she said yep, that sounds like it. I make a lot of the poke or holey cakes as my kids called them when they were little so I will add this one to my collection and I am going to make it for Christmas dinner. Thanks for sharing.
