How to make it

  • Place the eggs in a saucepan and add water to cover.
  • Season with a pinch of salt.
  • Place the eggs and water in pan over medium heat and bring to a boil.
  • Boil for 2 minutes.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Cover with a lid and allow the eggs to sit for 11 minutes.
  • Drain.
  • Cool the eggs for 2 minutes in ice water.
  • Drain and peel the eggs.
  • --> Things to remember... 1) eggs that are fresh are hard to peel, so use ones you've had for about a week, 2) eggs at room temperature work better than when cold, 3) use a pan large enough so it can hold all the eggs in a single layer.
