Perfect Boiled Eggs 1 - Fast And Easy Recipe
Need boiled eggs? Here's how to do 'em. This method is a little faster because it uses ice water to cool the cooked eggs.

  • 1 dozen large eggs
  • water to cover
  • a pinch of salt
  • ice water

Directions
  1. Place the eggs in a saucepan and add water to cover.
  2. Season with a pinch of salt.
  3. Place the eggs and water in pan over medium heat and bring to a boil.
  4. Boil for 2 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Cover with a lid and allow the eggs to sit for 11 minutes.
  7. Drain.
  8. Cool the eggs for 2 minutes in ice water.
  9. Drain and peel the eggs.
  10. --> Things to remember... 1) eggs that are fresh are hard to peel, so use ones you've had for about a week, 2) eggs at room temperature work better than when cold, 3) use a pan large enough so it can hold all the eggs in a single layer.
