How to make it

  • Place each cabbage wedge on individual pices of foil, large enough to wrap and seal a wedge.
  • Spritz each wedge with olive oil.
  • Spread each wedge with Italian Spead.
  • Sprinkle wedges with parmesan cheese.
  • Sprinkle wedges lightly with sea salt and pepper to taste.
  • Seal wedges in foil, place in large baking pan and bake in oven at 350F for 45 minutes. Check tenderness and return to oven for longer baking time if wedges are not tender enough for personal taste.
  • NOTE: Wedges can also be baked on outdoor grill instead of in oven.

    1 small tub of margarine at room temperature
    ¼ - 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
    1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
    1-2 Tbsp minced garlic

    Empty room temperature margarine into mixing bowl, add ¼ cup of EVOO stir together, making a soft spread. For creamer spread use more EVOO.
    Add Italian seasoning and minced garlic and stir in.
    Allow to rest to allow flavors to meld together. Store in refrigerator.

    I keep extra spread in the used margarine tub to always have at hand.
    This is easy to use for making garlic bread!
    Good on grilled cheese instead of plain butter or margarine.
