Turkey Applesauce Meatballs Recipe
This is an easy maindish go to meal for those nights when I have to run my grandson to his Civil Air Patrol meetings and functions. It's fast, easy and delicious. I serve these over hot egg noodles.

Ingredients
  • MEATBALLS:
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 c. unsweetened applesauce
  • 1 c. soft bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • dash of freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • SAUCE:
  • 1 can (10 3/4 oz) condensed tomato soup, undiluted
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. horseradish
  • a few dashes of Worchestershire sauce to taste
  • a few dashes of Louisiana Hot Sauce to taste

Directions
  1. In a large bowl, combine the first six ingredients. Crumble turkey over mixture and mix well. Shape into 1-1/2-in. balls. In a large skillet, gently brown meatballs over medium heat; drain. Transfer to an ungreased 2-qt. baking dish.
  2. Combine sauce ingredients; pour over meatballs. Cover and bake at 325° for 45-50 minutes or until meat is no longer pink. Yield: 4 servings.

Oh I like this recipe. Anything with turkey or applesauce always catches my eye. Thank you so much for sharing it!!! Maybe I can sneak these past the rest of my family ;-) as they don't fancy turkey.
