Ingredients
  • 1 kilo of turkey fillet chopped in servings
  • ½ small can of beer 165 ml
  • For Salsa (sauce) we Need:
  • 1 grated onion
  • olive oil
  • pepperoncini yellow, red and green (¾ of a glass)
  • 1 tinned pineapple 300 gr..
  • 3 - 4 grated carrots
  • the juice of 4 -5 oranges (about 1 glass)
  • 1 spoonful of honey
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 spoonfuls of grape vinegar
  • ¾ of a condensed tomato juice
  • FOR THICKENING OF SAUCE IF NECESSARY, WE NEED:
  • 1 spoonful of corn flour
  • ¼ cup of milk
  • SERVED WITH BOILED RICE:
  • 2 cups of parboiled (American type) of rice
  • 4 cups of water
  • salt

Directions
  1. In a pan we put the oil just to cover bottom of pan and sauté the onion, which we have already blended. We add the pepperoncini, the pineapple cut in eight pieces as well as the pineapple juice, the orange juice, the honey, the vinegar, the tomato, salt and pepper and leave until boiling point. When it boils we remove from stove and in a bigger pan we put again oil just to cover bottom of pan and roast the turkey on all sides. We pour the beer and wait until alcohol evaporates and add the sauce (no additional water is necessary). We cook for about 1 – 1 ½ hours until the turkey is tender and the sauce is thick. If the sauce needs thickening stir the corn flour with the milk and add, stirring for a couple of minutes.
  2. Rice:
  3. Boil water, add salt and rice. Boil for about 20 minutes. Drain excess water, if any left.
  4. Bon Appetite!!!

Delicious!!!

One quick question from a new member...is it truly "sweat"? Or is it supposed to be the traditional "sweet and sour"? I'm thinking I don't truly know cooking well enough to know the answer to this.... thanks

Well, to tell you the truth whenever I have this dish I always think that it's main course and dessert the same time (lol)
