How to make it

  • Stir together flour and brown sugar. Cut in butter til mixture
  • resembles fine crumbs. Set aside 1 cup of the crumb mixture for
  • topping. Press remaining mixture into bottom of an ungreased 8x8x2"
  • baking pan. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.
  • In mixer bowl beat cream cheese on medium speed for 30 seconds. add
  • sugar, beat till fluffy. Add egg, milk, lemon peel, lemon juice, and
  • vanilla. Beat well. Spread over baked layer. Combine nuts and
  • reserved 1 cup crumb mixture, sprinkle over creasm cheese mixture.
  • Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 - 25 minutes or till done. Cool on
  • wire rack. Cut into bars. Makes 24.
