very very easy recipe and best tasting Rice Krispie treats ever--peeps always debate over the secret ingredient--butterscotch chips

Ingredients
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. light corn syrup
  • 1 c. peanut butter
  • 1 (6oz) pkg. chocolate chips
  • 1 (6 oz) pkg. butterscotch chips
  • 6 c. rice krispies

Directions
  1. Combine sugar and syrup in saucepan. Cook over moderate heat, stirring frequently until mixture bubbles. Remove from heat. Stir in peanut butter; mix well. Add Rice Krispies; stir. Press mixture into buttered 13x9 inch pan. Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips together over hot, but not boiling, water stirring until well blended. Remove from heat. Spread over mixture; cool. Cut into bars.
  2. I melt the chocolate chips and butterscotch chips in the microwave.

Sounds great! I'll make them for a fun treat at Halloween..


That's what I do. :) I actually cut the RC treats into squares, then dip one end into the choc-chip/butterscotch, then sprinkle on orange/black Halloween sprinkles on the coated end, stick a popsicle stick in one end, then when dried, cover w/ Halloween plastic wrap and tie off w/ a festive ribbon. :)
