Chocolate mango and almond tart

- Crust: shopping list
- 100 grams flour shopping list
- 25 grams ground almonds shopping list
- 60 grams butter shopping list
- about 5-6 cold water shopping list
- Filling: shopping list
- 400 grams can mangos halves in syrup shopping list
- 50 grams butter shopping list
- 50 grams sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs beaten shopping list
- 100 grams ground almonds shopping list
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder shopping list
- few dropps of almond flavouring shopping list
- chocolate sauce: shopping list
- 50 grams sugar shopping list
- 3 tbsp golden light syrup shopping list
- 1/3 cup water shopping list
- 175 grams dark chocolate broken in pieces shopping list
- 25 grams butter shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 400 F/200 C.Lightly grease a 20 cm flan pan or loose bottomed tart pan and set aside.
- Crust:
- Sieve the flour in a bowl and stir in the almonds.Rub in the butter with your fingertips till mix.resembles fine breadcrumbs.
- Add enough water to have a soft dough.Cover and chill in freezer for 10 minutes,then roll out and use to line the pan.Prick the base with a fork and chill.
- Filling:
- Drain the mango well.Beat the butter and sugar till light and fluffy.Beat in the eggs gradually.Fold in the almonds,cocoa powder and the almond flavouring.
- Spread the mix.in the pastry case and arrange the mango over the top .Press lightly to make them settled.
- Bake for 30 minutes till filling has risen.Cool slightly.You may dust with powder suagr if you desire.
- Sauce:
- Place sugar ,syrup and water in a saucepan over medium heat stirring till sugar dissolves.Boil gently for 1 minute.
- Remove from heat and add the chocolate pieces and butter stirring till all melt .Serve seperatly with the flan or swirl it over the top with a spoon.
